If you take a look at the foods that different cultures from around the world eat you will find that they vary quite a lot, yet as long as they follow the same diet as their ancestors did their health remains at a high level. Lets take the Eskimos as an example, their diet consists mainly of protein and fats. If you went to your doctor and told him you were thinking of eating that way he would probably advise against it, stating facts about eating too much fat and the increased risk of heart disease and high cholesterol. Yet amongst the Eskimos these diseases are almost non-existent in those that follow their natural diet.

There are other cultures whose native diets are totally different from the Eskimos, yet their society is also virtually free from the diseases that are all too common in the western world. But if they were to eat the same foods as the Eskimos then their health would slowly take a downward spiral.
